Valley Blox was founded by William Galt and C. Wilson McNeely, Jr. The company originally operated as the Allied Cinder Block Company, manufacturing concrete masonry blocks of slag, cinders, stone and cement.

ACB company formed Valley Blox, Inc. to sell a complete line of building materials that complemented the concrete block business.

Valley Blox opened a branch in Staunton, Virginia, which included a millwork shop.

The acquisition of Ace Block and Supply Company of Harrisonburg enabled the company to begin manufacturing precast concrete sanitary manholes and sewer pipe. Valley Blox's Precast Division produced the first precast concrete sanitary manhole structure. Valley Blox then built a millwork shop

Valley Blox begins manufacturing wooden roof trusses.

The company purchased C. S. Mundy Quarries. The quarries operate two surface mining and stone crushing operations in Broadway and Timberville, Virginia. C. S. Mundy has been serving Rockingham and Shenandoah Counties since the early 1940's

Valley Blox purchased a precast concrete manufacturing company from A & P Water & Sewer Supply located in Halltown, West Virginia. The acquired company became the Concrete Products of America Division.

Snider Industrial Woodwork became Premier Mouldings and stocks only select Appalachian and imported hardwoods. Premier serves the architectural community, custom residential contractors and retail building supplies with stock and custom profiles.

The Precast Concrete Division began operating as Americast.

Valley Blox acquired Snider Industrial Woodwork, a manufacturer of premium hardwood mouldings and floorings since 1986.

Valley Blox purchased CSR Hydroconduit Corporation's precast manufacturing facility in Ashland, Virginia. The Americast Division includes the Ashland, Halltown and Harrisonburg precast concrete facilities.
